We need the personal data we collect in order to provide you with technically smooth access to our website, to fulfill your contracts and invoices when shopping online and to offer you the best possible customer service. Data is collected, stored, processed and used for this purpose.
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is, on one hand, the fulfillment of the contract (online shopping), the legitimate interests and the fulfillment of our legal or contractual obligations and, on the other hand, your consent (contact form, newsletter, cookies). Failure to provide data can have a variety of consequences.
We process your data to the extent necessary during the entire business relationship (from the start of the purchase contract to its complete execution) and in accordance with the statutory retention and documentation obligations arising from the Austrian Commercial Code (UGB), the Federal Fiscal Code (BAO), etc., as well as until the end of ongoing warranty and guarantee periods, any legal disputes, etc.
As part of the operation of our website and the processing systems behind it, we work with processors (IT service providers, payment service providers, transport service providers, tax consultants) who may access your data as part of their activities. They have undertaken to comply with the applicable data protection regulations. The order processing contract is concluded in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
Beyond this, we do not pass on your data to third parties unless this is required by law. We take the protection of your data very seriously. Please read the Data Security section below for information on what we do to protect your data.
When you visit our website, your IP address is logged in our server log, but immediately pseudonymized by masking the last 8 bits. This means that only a rough localization is possible. Server log data is stored for 30 days.
IP addresses are stored as part of cookies to simplify the purchasing process and subsequent contract processing. In addition, the data provided during registration and/or purchase (name, contact details, shipping method, etc.) are stored. Of course, data is only transmitted via an encrypted connection.
Subsequently, the status data of the delivery to the customer is also stored in our system for the purpose of contract processing.
The data provided by you is required to fulfill the contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures. We cannot conclude a contract with you without this data. Data is not transferred to third parties, with the exception of the data required by the shipping service provider to deliver the goods, the tax consultant to fulfill tax obligations, the IT service provider for smooth technology and, in the case of payment by credit card, the processing bank/payment service provider for the purpose of debiting the purchase price. In this case, the payment service provider only receives the purchase price using an anonymous transaction ID and no other information about your order. These processors undertake to comply with the applicable data protection regulations. The contract for order processing was concluded in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
If you contact us via the contact form on this website or by e-mail, your request will be sent, processed and stored via our mail server. This data will not be collected or passed on without your consent. The inquiry cannot be processed without this data. Inquiries via the contact form are stored for seven years, as is all our business correspondence.
Data processing is carried out in accordance with the legal provisions of the GDPR §96 para. 3TKG and Art. 6 para. 1 lit a (consent).
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device via your browser.
They make it possible to recognize and analyze the use of our website by the user. The information generated in this way is transferred to the provider's server and stored there. They help us to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are also used to measure the frequency of page views and for general navigation.
By using our website, you consent to the use of cookies by us. Some cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. You can refuse to accept cookies in your browser settings. However, you can also set your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you only allow them in individual cases or that it completely prohibits the setting of cookies. You can delete cookies that have already been saved at any time in your browser settings. The corresponding steps are browser-specific, so you will find further information in the instructions for your browser. Prohibiting cookies may limit the functionality of our website, as online shopping is not technically possible without cookies, in particular because it is not possible to place items in the shopping cart without cookies.
If your consent is required for the processing of your data, we will only process it with your express consent.
We are not authorized to process the data of minors. By submitting the declaration of consent, you have confirmed that you have reached the age of 18.
You can revoke your consent at any time by sending an e-mail to the following address: office@genetika.at. In this case, the data previously stored about you will be anonymized and only used for statistical purposes without personal reference. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of data processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Genetika uses technical and organizational security measures to protect stored personal data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss or destruction and against access by unauthorized persons.
You have the right to receive information about your personal data from us at any time. Insofar as there is no statutory retention obligation, you have the right to have this data erased and to object to its processing. You also have the right to rectification of data and restriction of processing, to data portability and to lodge complaints with the data protection authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Wickenburggasse 8-10, 1080 Vienna, e-mail: dsb@dsb.gv.at).
